Full moon tonight -- the winter Wolf Moon. The moon is the closest to the earth tonight and looks the largest it will appear all year. Since it is the closest, the tides are the largest. Wonder how steep the gang plank is at Palmetto Bay in Hilton Head. Docks and gang planks seem so foreign to us now. Such landlubbers we are!
Very cold now. 8 degrees tonight. Took the girls out yesterday afternoon and very cold but the sun was out. I actually felt the warmth of the sun on my cheek for a second -- only a split second but it felt sooo good. Ah memories of Miami in Feb of 2008.
Bought an iPod last week and George has already downloaded all CDs on it!
NBC Today Show had a special series this week on the Navy Seals. Mission focused. Nerves of steel. Great to see them training in California. Want to be one when I grow up.

Hit the Beach!
Martin Luther King Day and went to the beach at East Harbor on Marblehead today. (G had day off!) Nice to get some excercise outside rather than at the health club. Beach was very subtly beautiful. Blue gray water and gray skies with a bit of earth tones for the brown sand and trees. Actually lovely yet far different from the brillant colors we experienced last year down south.
Lizzy and Sally had fun running and exploring. Realized they had never been there before. We had taken Jane and Roxy there so many times but these girls had never been there. A nice and different afternoon.
Finished my writing project today for an arts client and I think it turned out rather well. We'll see what client says.
Tonight I was invited to join a book club. I feel sooooo domestic. The book looks quite interesting and is something I would normally not read.

Gorgeous November!
What gorgeous November weekend! Two days of sunny 70 degree weather! Fantastic! Walked along Lake Erie and it was spectacular! Blue skies and blue lake -- lovely.

Reconnectring in Cleveburg
Well I must say I am enjoying reconnecting in Cleveland. Fun to see many old friends and colleagues. I've started writing professionally again -- few pitch letters and news releases and it's starting to come back. Great to work with former buddies like Sandra, Beth and Glenda and Marie. Such different assignments.
Exciting to be here too while the big Toni verdict is playing out -- very cool!
As for this crazy apartment -- land lubber place -- we are pulling it together a bit. (With little or no money) A couple of new lamps, decorated the bath and bedroom so some improvements.
Anybody have a nice 5 x 8 ft area rug that we can borrow for the winter? This carpet is UGLY! Must work on that.

Here I Sit
Who knew I'd be sitting here on the old love seat again in a sparsely furnished apartment. We have our old love seat and old wing chair so it feels somewhat like our place. Two bright mum plants help perk it up a bit.
Just felt compelled to write as the weather changes. Oh yes, 45 degrees today, gray and a bit rainy -- especially as I tried to walk Sally and Lizzy. I remember October here as crisp blue skies and nice cool days -- sweater weather. What happened to that?
I'm enjoying catching up with old friends as I try to uncover some free lance work. Saw Ted and Ed today and good to speak with Debi today after mostly e-mailing. Good to have the voice with the message. Good for the soul. Well guess not much to report. Maybe I'll be moved tomorrow.
